In our western culture we are moody, trendy, we compare, we measure, but do we really experience? Our society offers endless forms of yoga classes . There is yoga for perfect alignment and form, "hot" sauna room temperature yoga classes, yoga for building muscles, yoga holding difficult postures and yoga for wimps. The list is ever-growing concoction of everything imaginable. You can try them all . You can practice a different kind of yoga every day or mix them all together. And what do you get? Nothing. Kundalini yoga gives you the ability to focus. When the focus is strong and you persevere, then you reap the benefits- like a calm mind, a body that feels strong and flexible, happiness and a deeper spiritual serenity. With conscious breath techniques, posture (asana) movement and mental focus, you can heighten your ability to be totally conscious and aware of what is what. You'll experience living in the "now" tasting life and loving life. It teaches you how to overcome obstacles, go beyond your limitations and tap into your own powerful human potential. One can remain in status quo for years, or they can wait for things to get bad and then wake up. It is only by making a conscious decision to start a Kundalini yoga practice and not waiting for a magical time like losing weight, finishing school, or cleaning your house.
